If a game shows 96% RTP, its mathematical model is designed to return RM96 for every RM100 wagered across a very large number of rounds. That does not mean a player who wagers RM100 today will receive RM96 back.
Simple rule: RTP describes the game over the long run; variance describes how uneven the journey can be.
